We are a small family-owned kennel in the northwestern area of Alabama near the Tennessee state line. Retiring after 25 years in law enforcement and 20 years as police chief of two small towns in Alabama I decided to follow my long-time dream of raising European Imported German Shepherds. During my law enforcement career, I worked with different breeds of K-9's for search and rescue, drug detection and obedience training. The German Shepherds intelligence and trainability has always proven superior.  It was out of an earned respect for the German Shepherd that my wife and I decided to become breeders of the highest quality German Shepherd Dogs. We are Owners/Broker of Southern Lakes Real Estate. We are compassionate in helping families find their dream homes as well as offer families around the county with the opportunity to own a family pet with the highest quality companionship, intelligence and natural instincts of protection that are bred in European German Shepherds. Our German Shepherds are a part of our family and have a constant interaction with us as well as our children and grandchildren. They are all well socialized, friendly and loveable. They are running freely in the back yard together for their daily exercise where they can run and play.
